Sharing and Exporting¶
The Model Browser is used for organizing, sharing, and managing Modelshop models.
Renaming Models¶
Sharing Models¶
Sharing an entire model with another user can be easily achieved from the Model Browser. Simply select “Share Model” from the dropdown menu of the model you would like to share and search for the user to be shared with.
- Alternatively, or if more fine-tuned control over how models are shared is required, sharing can be managed from inside the model as well. To do so, open the model to be shared and select “Share Model” from the “Manage” menu. Upon adding new shares, several options are available.
Level: Allow the model to be shared with a single user, with a group of users (ex. Management or Risk Team), or an entire organization (ex. Everyone at your company).
Access: Controls how the shared users will be able to interact with the model.
Edit: Full control to change model configuration (such as calculations or rules) and data.
Read: Can see results of the model but cannot change configuration or data.
Write: Ability to change data in the model, but not configuration.
Share with: The user or users to be shared with (dependent upon level chosen).
- In the event even more control is required. For instance, some elements in the model should be hidden for certain users, it is possible to apply element level share controls that supersede the access controls above. This means they can be used in conjunction with model level shares to achieve specific access schemes. To do so:
Select the item you would like to share or restrict (ex. Rulebase, View, or Datalist).
Enter “Edit Mode” by selecting “Edit” in the top left corner of the screen.
Select the “Sharing” tab.
Add share controls per the options listed above.
Exporting Models¶
